Opened recently as of September 2017 and operational as of 2018, Christchurch, NZ has a state-of-the-art Justice and Emergency Services Precinct led by their Ministry of Justice. The Christchurch Justice & Emergency Services Precinct development cost NZ$300 million (AUD$284 mil.) and consists of several modern, purpose-built buildings and marks a significant milestone for New Zealanders.

As the largest multi-agency government co-location project; the Christchurch Justice & Emergency Services Precinct houses the Ministry of Justice, New Zealand Police, Department of Corrections, Fire and Emergency New Zealand, St John New Zealand, Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management, Canterbury Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group, Christchurch City Council – Civil Defence and Emergency Management and the judiciary.
